Remember allergies are not the same as intolerances

People with a food intolerance to certain foods can typically eat a small amount without having any problems. In contrast, people with a food allergy may well have a reaction if they come into contact with the tiniest amount of food they are allergic to.

Important Information

Do not take this test if you are:

  • Suffering from a blood borne disease such as Hepatitis or HIV
  • Under 2 years old
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Taking steroids or immunosuppressants
Please note: Raised levels of food-specific IgG antibodies within your blood indicate that a reaction to a particular food or foods has occurred. If you have already taken the decision to eliminate a particular food or foods from your diet they may not show up as a reaction on your results. If you know of foods that trigger your symptoms then do not start eating them just to confirm this through taking the test. We cannot encourage you to eat a food or foods which you already know are a problem to you. FoodScan can help you identify other foods to which you may have a reaction whilst you continue to eliminate those foods from your diet that you know contribute to your symptoms.
