‘Together We Deliver’
Jonathan Brookes Operations Director
‘I currently sit on the Board and ensure that YorkTest maintains a high level of operational performance.
Starting as a temp in the post room back in late 2004, I have progressed rapidly through the YorkTest training and development programme as well as undertaking a number of post-graduate courses which were kindly funded by YorkTest.
I play a leading role in promoting continual operational improvement and helping the team to maximise their individual and group potential.’
Charlotte Court Marketing and Design Executive
‘I studied Media Publishing for 2 years and then went on to study Interactive Design for 3 years. I started working at YorkTest in September 2016 as a Design and Marketing Executive.
I feel extremely lucky to be able to work within a company with a fantastic working environment and not to mention the different opportunities that YorkTest offers to enable me to progress and further my career.
No two days are the same and I am constantly learning new things. I have produced marketing materials to promote YorkTest in publications such as The Guardian and At Home Magazine.
The support and guidance I have received by the team has given me the confidence and the opportunity to make a long successful career at YorkTest.’
Joshua Netherwood Sports Optimisation Specialist
I studied Sport and Exercise Science at Sheffield Hallam University for three years, graduating in 2014. I later went on to publish my very own research paper exploring dietary manipulations and short-term performance improvements in 2015.
I have years of experience in the sporting industry after working as a Sports Co-ordinator for both Badminton England and Hockey Victoria. With this in mind, I have played competitive sports since a very early age, representing Barnsley Football Academy from the age of 9-16 and later playing National League Field Hockey for Doncaster Hockey Club, and Yorkshire Seniors in the UK and Casey Cannons Hockey Club in the Australian Victoria Premier League.
I started working for YorkTest in June 2016 as a B2B Account Manager and I am now the in-house Sports Optimisation Specialist after completing Open University courses and becoming an accredited Anti-Doping Advisor.
I am currently studying to become a qualified Sport Nutrition Advisor through The Health Science Academy, which the company are funding and I aim to complete this by the end of 2018.
Since joining the company, my role has progressed significantly and the help and encouragement I have received so far has been absolutely fantastic. My responsibilities have now grown to a point where I manage and close business opportunities for fitness practitioners and professional sports teams across the globe.
I also take an active role in clinical trials with the company looking into performance-based improvements through the use of our food intolerance testing in a professional sporting environment.
