Diane Steele

Symptoms: stomach aches, diarrhea, sweating, bloating

Food Reactions: cow’s milk

“Once I removed my trigger foods, I was like a different person”

61-year-old teaching assistant Diane Steele had suffered from symptoms from the age of 16 until 50 before deciding to seek help. Her symptoms included bad stomach aches, diarrhoea, bloating, looking pale and sweating. This made simple things such as travelling a challenge, in case she needed to use a toilet when she would get an attack.

After endless trips to the doctors where she was told she had IBS and needed to try cutting out different foods from her diet, Diane’s daughter recommended that she try YorkTest.

After taking a Premium Food Intolerance Test with YorkTest, Diane discovered that her body was producing IgG antibodies when encountering cow’s milk – results that caught Diane by surprise as she was never told about cutting out milk from her diet.

When asked how she felt after removing her trigger foods, Diane added: “I was like a different person, my confidence was back after many years”. Diane visibly saw improvements in her symptoms and overall health a month after removing her food intolerance.

The Premium Food Intolerance* Test analyses your IgG reactions to 200 food and drinks – from common ingredients like cow’s milk, wheat and egg, to health superfoods like kale and quinoa.

The process, which involves sending a finger-prick blood sample to the company’s laboratories revealed the foods that Diane was reacting to, in an easy-to-read traffic light-style format, indicating which foods were highly reactive and which ones were only slightly reactive.

When asked how she found the elimination process, Diane told us that she found the whole process to be very easy. After trying to reintroduce milk after six months Diane found her symptoms returning. Now she enjoys a skinny latte every day instead. Diane also found it easier to lose weight – whilst adding that the Customer Care Team were “extremely helpful” as was the nutritional consultation.

When Diane was asked how she would summarise her experience with YorkTest, she concluded with “Once I removed my trigger foods, I was like a different person. I got married for the second time which I never thought would happen and I can travel and live my life at last”.
