Meet our nutritional therapists
Here at YorkTest, we understand that making dietary changes can be a challenging task. We therefore provide comprehensive post-test support, which includes up to two telephone consultations with one of our BANT* registered nutritional therapists.
Everything we do has the customer in mind, which is one of the reasons why we’re a leading provider in food and drink specific IgG antibody testing programmes.
Why do we provide nutritional consultations?
Good question! When you receive your results, it can be daunting to know what to do next or how to take your next steps. You may also have a number of questions during your post-results stage; you might be unsure what replacements you can have, how your intolerances have slipped into your diet, or which commonplace foods contain your trigger foods.
Our nutritional therapists will devise a personal plan which works around you, so you can confidently optimise your diet from the very start, whilst safely removing your trigger foods. In fact, we believe our nutritional consultations are essential to your YorkTest journey – that’s why we include up to two consultations with all our full food intolerance† programmes.
Our nutritional therapists understand that there’s no ‘one-fits-all’ approach, as everyone has their own ‘food fingerprint’. By taking this ethos, they take the time to look at your diet, suggest changes, and serve you fascinating information about the body and how your food intolerances could be affecting your symptoms. Not only do they recommend nutritional alternatives, but they can also suggest certain probiotics and supplements to help you on your way.
Did you know you can replace cow’s milk with almond, rice, oat, coconut and soya alternatives? Did you know shark meat can be found in your local fish and chip shop? Did you also know that you can still treat yourself to an alcoholic drink if you have a yeast intolerance? These are all facts which are not only surprising, but they aim to inform you on how your trigger foods may have slipped into your diet, or how to replace them with alternatives.
This is an exciting time in your programme where you can learn more about your diet and explore new foods, flavours and textures. Our consultations are one of the key ingredients to understanding your intolerance/s which should open up a world of nutritious options to optimise your health and wellbeing.
What are the benefits of your consultation?
- Bespoke advice for your eating plan
- Help with interpreting your results and optimising your diet
- Aligning pre-existing diets (vegan, vegetarian, allergy-specific, such as nuts) with your elimination diet
- Clear and informative guidance

What are nutritional therapists?
Nutritional therapists, who are part of our service, are nutritional experts with substantial theory and practice knowledge behind them. Nutritional therapists require a recognised degree and are often registered to specific training providers, for example BANT/CNHC. They often work in private practice and perform 1-to-1s with their clients.
Nutritional therapists recognise that each person has their own set of dietary requirements and offer tailored advice and individual care based on this, as opposed to focusing on general advice.
Who are our nutritional therapists?
We’re delighted you ask. Our team of BANT/CNHC* nutritional therapists are truly committed to giving you tailored advice based on your results. To bring you even closer to YorkTest, you can find all our nutritional therapist profiles below. See for yourself their experience, accreditations, specialisms, and why they work for YorkTest. After all, they are the faces behind your telephone consultation, and they are here to help you.
How to arrange your consultation:
When you have received your results, simply give our friendly Customer Care team a call on 0800 130 0580 to book your 30-minute telephone consultation with one of our nutritional therapists.
Once you have booked a time which is convenient for you, the nutritional therapist will call you to discuss your results and help advise what to do next. It is a good idea to write down any questions you may have before your call to make sure you get the most out of your consultation, as well as having a pen and paper ready to take notes.
Discover your best self through YorkTest’s consultations and make the most of your programme.
