Heather Kemp

best food sensitivity test
Symptoms: Digestive issues, bloating, fatigue
Food Reactions: cow’s milk, egg white, wheat

“The difference in my health is truly unbelievable and I am so glad that I decided to do this”

25-year-old CAD Technician, Heather Kemp, was suffering from symptoms including bloating and stomach pains on a daily basis, as well as excessive fatigue. These symptoms started 2-3 years ago, and Heather told us they had gradually gotten worse over the last 6 months.

When asked how these symptoms affected her day-to-day life, Heather explained: “I would generally feel lethargic day-to-day and there was an element of anxiety that I experienced, due to not knowing what I could eat and how my body would react”.

Heather had previously tried cutting out dairy to see if her symptoms improved, however she did not notice any significant changes. Heather then assumed her symptoms were due to IBS, and that she would be stuck them permanently. Heather had heard about YorkTest through a friend, and after her symptoms were progressivley getting worse, she decided enough was enough and purchased a Premium Food Intolerance Test from YorkTest

Heather’s results indicated that her body was reacting to cow’s milk, egg white and wheat. The results surprised Heather, as she thoughted one of these foods would be in there but didn’t expect to see all three.

When asked how she felt once the trigger foods had been removed, Heather informed us that she felt like a different person and that after a couple of weeks of avoiding her trigger foods, she no longer experienced bloating and stomach pains after meals.

The Premium Food Intolerance* Test analyses your IgG reactions to over 200 food and drinks – from common ingredients like Cow’s Milk, Gluten and Egg, to health superfoods like kale and quinoa.

The process, which involves sending a finger-prick blood sample to the company’s laboratories revealed the foods that Heather was reacting to, in an easy-to-read traffic light style format, indicating which foods were highly reactive and which ones were only slightly reactive.

Eliminating trigger foods and sticking to a diet plan meant Heather’s symptoms eased off as well as the added anxiety of not knowing what to eat. Following on from her free 30-minute consultation with a Nutritional Therapist, Heather told us she found this expectionally helpful: “I would have been lost without that initial phone call! The Nutritional Therapist helped me to understand why my body reacts the way it does to certain foods and gave me lots of advice and ideas for meal alternatives that would fit into my meal plan”.

Heather added to this by telling us that her experience with the YorkTest Customer Care team was very positive: “very helpful indeed. Andrew regularly checked in to see if there was anything else I needed and even arranged a follow-up consultation which helped me reintroduce foods back in. I would have expected a fee for this service so I was impressed that this was arranged without any additional costs”.

When asked to summarise her experience, Heather concluded with: “I know now what upsets my stomach and what the consequences will be if I eat these foods. The difference in my health is truly unbelievable and I am so glad I decided to go this. The difference in my health has been mind blowing!”
