Bilal Hussain Altaf

Symptoms: Bloating, fatigue and sickness

Food Reactions: Yeast and Cow’s Milk

“I Feel Active and Less Fatigued”

28-year-old accountant Bilal Hussain Altaf had been dealing with persistent symptoms for over two years. After eating certain foods, he’d experience uncomfortable bloating, overwhelming fatigue, and occasional sickness. These issues weren’t just frustrating: they were impacting his performance at work and in the gym.

Despite the symptoms being a regular part of his life, Bilal had never tried any solutions or consulted a GP. It wasn’t until he came across YorkTest online and read through positive recommendations that he decided to finally take action.

He ordered his test in early January 2025, and the results gave him clarity: he was intolerant to both yeast and cow’s milk, two ingredients that had long caused him issues, even if he hadn’t realised the connection until now.

Cutting these foods out of his diet made a dramatic difference. Within just a couple of weeks, Bilal began to feel more energetic, less bloated, and far less tired. The positive effects didn’t stop there. He found that he was able to get back to exercising properly and now attends the gym five days a week.

He’s also lost half a stone since changing his diet, and reports that the bloating and fatigue only return if he accidentally eats one of his trigger foods.

The elimination process wasn’t without its challenges, especially with yeast being hidden in so many everyday foods, but the difference in how he felt made it worthwhile. YorkTest’s nutritional consultation provided him with clear and helpful advice, and the Customer Care Team offered detailed and friendly support throughout.

Now, Bilal says he feels “a lot better and positive.” While following the diet plan, he’s aware of his triggers and is much more in control of his health and routine.

If you’ve been feeling bloated, tired, or off-balance for longer than you’d like to admit, YorkTest can help you uncover the root cause. Try one of our simple at-home food intolerance tests and take your first step toward feeling like yourself again.
