"I feel so happy I purchased the YorkTest when I did because I feel healthier and happier"

Tell us about your symptoms before you took the test?

I used to have crippling pain in my stomach and sometimes a lot of discomfort when going to the toilet. I would be very bloated after some meals which created a lot of gas.

How long have you had your symptoms?

I only noticed my symptoms in the summer of 2020 when I changed my diet to compliment my increase in exercise / weight lifting so I was eating healthier breakfasts and protein shakes.

How did your symptoms affect your day-to-day life?

It was difficult if I was out of the house and if I’d had a cows milk based drink within 10 mins I need to go to the toilet urgently or carry on with crippling pain in my tummy.

What did you feel unable to do as a result of your symptoms? (Activities and hobbies that you could no longer do etc.)

I was still able to complete all my hobbies but before I used the YorkTest I didn’t know what brought on my symptoms and there wasn’t a regular pattern that made it obvious to me of what it was.

How did you hear about YorkTest? (Through a friend/family member, on the internet etc.)

My brother had bought a YorkTest and resolved his symptoms within months and he was much happier in himself. I ordered a test just out of curiosity and didn’t think it would have improved my life as much as it has.

Why did you take a YorkTest? Was there a specific incident that made you decide to take a test with us?

Not that I can remember, but my brother had found such relief from taking the YorkTest it was discounted on Black Friday for £125 which I though was a reasonable price.

What solutions had you previously tried before coming to YorkTest?

I had requested testing from my GP but all tests came back clear

Did you seek advice from a specialist/GP? If so, what was the outcome/advice given?

All tests on normal bloods, dipped urine and stool samples came back clear, none of these tests checked for intolerance.

What food and drink ingredients were you intolerant to? Were you surprised by the results?

Cows milk was the highest which made so much sense when I had my consultation with the nutritionist, egg white which was only just in the amber zone and barley malt mix which I was surpised at because I didn’t release how much badly was in a lot of my diet.

Once you removed your trigger foods, how did you feel?

AMAZING! I now know if I get discomfort it’s usually because I’ve eaten something that contains milk. Initially I actively avoided any trace of milk however since relaxing my diet I’ve discovered what I can and can’t tolerate things that contain milk.

Are you able to do things you couldn’t do before taking a test? (New hobbies and activities.)

I’m still able to complete normal activities and I know not to have any milk before a first Date haha!

How long did it take for you to see an improvement in your symptoms and overall health after removing your food intolerance?

Pretty instantly once I cut milk out of my diet i’ve not had any problems

Did you see any change in weight through this process?

I am currently working towards building muscle but vegan blend protein shakes have been a great alternative with oat or almond milk.

How easy did you find the elimination process?

To begin with I was very strict and was shocked at how much milk is in products. However, I really enjoyed finding and trying alternatives which sometimes turned out to be the preferred option.

Are you still following your diet plan?

I avoid cows milk as much as possible but sometimes I might slip up but because I know the reason why I don’t get worried when my symptoms start.

What happens if you eat your trigger foods?

I need to quickly get to a toilet and a horrible pain in my stomach starts

How helpful was the nutritional consultation?

Very useful to know the intolerance can be re introduced after time without and I didn’t expect such excellence after care for the YorkTest either.

How helpful did you find the Customer Care Team?

Very helpful, I was pleasantly surprised with the after care call to check on how things were going.

How has your life changed since taking the test?

For the better, I’ve told loads of friends and family to buy this test and they’re so happy to know their intolerances too.
