Dr. Ellie Pierson is a dedicated biochemist with diverse expertise in laboratory management, research, and quality assurance. Currently serving as the Scientific and QA Manager at YorkTest Laboratories in York, she actively supports lab operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Her role involves validating new products, contributing to technical advancements, and maintaining high-quality standards meeting UK and US regulatory criteria.

Ellie’s academic journey includes a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Huddersfield, where her research focused on exploring vitamin K epoxide reductases’ function and evolution. Her exceptional organizational skills were honed through conducting extensive research and producing valuable laboratory data.

Her previous roles include working as a Clinical Data Monitor for a global CRO, where she excelled in designing trial forms, ensuring data integrity, and facilitating audits. Ellie’s expertise extends to protein chemistry, molecular genetics, and pharmaceutical sample analysis, reflecting her proficiency in GCLP and GMP guidelines.

In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family, walking their dogs, crafting, baking, or simply just relaxing with a good book.
