Mia Campbell

Symptoms: eczema, stress

Food Reactions: chickpeas, wheat

“Very relieved that I have the information I have now”

For years, 22-year-old project administrator, Mia Campbell, was dealing with a range of unpleasant symptoms. Mia had a range of inflammatory symptoms such as eczema and stress that affected her on a day-to-day basis.

When asked about how these symptoms affected her life, Mia said: “Daily application of eczema cream and stress were affecting how I handled things everyday.”

Mia added, “Playing sports was very difficult as the sweat agitated my skin and I’ve always loved sports.”

When a friend of hers recommended YorkTest, Mia decided to give food intolerance testing a go and see if there was any correlation between her eczema and her diet.

After taking the Premium Food Intolerance Test, Mia’s results indicated that her body was reacting to over 20 ingredients including chickpeas and wheat.

We asked Mia how she felt after removing these trigger foods. “Better within a month, but quite overwhelmed to changing my diet due to the number of things I was intolerant to. But gradually I was able to do more sports and get back to my hobbies.”

Our test analyses your IgG reactions to 200 food and drinks – from common ingredients like gluten and cow’s milk, to health superfoods like kale and quinoa.

The process involves sending a finger-prick blood sample back to YorkTest, Mia then received her results within 7-days through the Wellness Hub, in an easy-to-read traffic light-based format.

Eliminating the trigger foods and sticking to her diet plan has helped clear Mia’s symptoms. When asked about her nutritional consultation, Mia commented: “Extremely helpful.” Similarly, Mia found the customer service team “Extremely helpful also.”

When asked how life had changed since taking the test and how she would summarise her experience, Mia concluded: “I understand how my diet affects my gut health, mood and my mental health and skin. Very relieved that I have the information I have now.”
