Eric Aarons

Symptoms: stomach aches, bloating, diarrhea, fatigue, skin rash

Food Reactions: dairy, gluten, eggs, yeast, peanut butter, shellfish, garlic, cranberry and oats

“I look and feel the best I have in years”

60-year-old flight attendant, Eric Aarons, was dealing with a range of  digestive issues including stomach aches, bloating, severe diarrhea, fatigue and skin rash. Eric’s symptoms had been ongoing and getting progressively worse over the course of six to twelve months.

When asked about how these symptoms affected his life, Eric said: “I never felt great and I was also hesitant to make social commitments. I could never be far away from a restroom. I could not plan long activities for fear of diarrhea. I stopped going out to eat.”

After seeing an allergist, Eric heard about YorkTest from a nurse and decided to give it a try, in a bid to get to the root cause of his symptoms.

That’s when he ordered the Premium Food Sensitivity Test, with his results indicating that his body was reacting to dairy, gluten, eggs, yeast, peanut butter, shellfish, garlic, cranberry and oats.

When we asked Eric how he felt after removing these trigger foods, he said, “Infinitely better within a matter of three days. All my digestive issues ceased and my face rash cleared.”

Our test analyses your IgG reactions to 200 food and drinks – from common ingredients like gluten and cow’s milk, to health superfoods like kale and quinoa.

The process involves sending a finger-prick blood sample back to YorkTest. Eric then received his results within 7-days through the Wellness Hub, in an easy-to-read traffic light-based format.

Eliminating the trigger foods and sticking to his diet plan has helped clear Eric’s symptoms and enabled him to resume his normal life. “Over time, my blood pressure dropped and it is the lowest it has been in decades. My doctor is thrilled with this and my weight loss. I have lost twenty five pounds and maintained that weight loss. The only change I made in diet or routines was the complete removal of all trigger foods.”

On his experience of embarking on the elimination process, Eric commented: “Surprisingly easy. It did require a bit of research in the beginning and quite a bit of label reading. But the new habits have developed quickly and easily. I honestly do not miss any of my trigger foods.”

When asked how he found the nutritional consultation Eric said, “Incredibly helpful guidance.”

We asked Eric how life had changed since taking the test and how he would summarize his experience to which Eric remarked: “I just turned 60, and I look and feel the best I have in years.”
