How does the program work?

70% of your immune system is in your gut. When you eat a food you are sensitive to it triggers an IgG antibody immune response, which can lead to symptoms like IBS, headaches, skin conditions, bloating, low mood, and fatigue.

This nutrition program helps you to take control of your gut health. It is the convenient way to safely and accurately identify the foods triggering an IgG response. Allowing you to trial removing them from your diet, which can help to reduce immune load and contribute to gut healing.

STEP 1 – TAKING THE TEST

Your Premium Food Sensitivity Test is delivered directly to your door for free. Simply take a quick finger-prick blood sample and return it to our laboratory in the mail. Here, your sample will be analyzed by our team of qualified scientists.

STEP 2 – RECEIVING YOUR RESULTS

Within 7 days your results will be available online. You will receive a personalized report showing your IgG reactivity to each of the 200 ingredients tested. The results are color-coded for clarity – Red = High Reactivity, Amber = Borderline Reactivity, and Green = Normal Reactivity. This report will be saved on your secure Wellness Hub account and can be shared with your Nutritional Therapist.

STEP 3 – ONGOING NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT

To help get the most from your food sensitivity test results and to make diet changes as easy as possible, you will receive your first Nutritional Therapist Consultation after you get your results.

They will help you start a 12-week elimination diet, if appropriate. This will be tailored to your trigger foods, symptoms, existing dietary requirements, and health goals.

6 weeks into the program, you will receive your second Nutritional Therapist Consultation. They will monitor your progress, give advice on anything you may be struggling with, and start thinking about long-term dietary advice.

Both consultations will be a 30-minute phone appointment with a qualified nutrition professional. It’s the most convenient way to get nutritional support – book for a time that suits you and get expert advice in the comfort of your home.

FAQs

How do I book my two Nutritional Therapist Consultations?

Our customer service team will book in each appointment for a date and time that suits you.

You will book in for your first consultation once you have received your food sensitivity test results. Then, your second consultation will be scheduled 6 weeks into your 12-week elimination diet.

What is an elimination diet?

An elimination diet is when foods are removed from an individual’s diet and then slowly reintroduced one-by-one whilst monitoring for symptoms.

You should not attempt an elimination diet without consulting a qualified nutrition professional. They can ensure the diet is not too restrictive and contains all key nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

Studies have shown that IgG-guided elimination diets (where foods are eliminated based on food sensitivity test results) are more effective than elimination diets based on guesswork and removing common trigger foods. This is why we combine testing and nutritional advice services in our Premium Nutrition Program.

Are YorkTest Nutritional Therapists qualified?

Yes – all of our Nutritional Therapists are certified practitioners. They have completed a recognized qualification in nutritional therapy and are registered in the United States with the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP).
