Bloating, feeling lethargic, awful stomach ache / nausea when eating spice

How long have you had your symptoms?

Since I was in my teens

How did your symptoms affect your day-to-day life?

They didn’t really, I just got used to them. I thought they were normal.

N/A

How did you hear about YorkTest? (Through a friend/family member, on the internet etc.)

Through a friend

Because I felt unhealthy and wanted to know which foods to avoid

What solutions had you previously tried before coming to YorkTest?

Avoiding spicy food

Did you seek advice from a specialist/GP? If so, what was the outcome/advice given?

No

What food and drink ingredients were you intolerant to? Were you surprised by the results?

Wheat, yeast, gluten, cows milk, potato and spinach – yes very surprised because when I look back, my diet was full of those food groups, and processed most of the time.

I have more energy, I felt happier, It motivated me to be healthier in other aspects of my diet.

I have started being more experimental with food. Before, I would just get takeaways or eat toast!

Unfortunately, my bloating stomach never really went away. I didn’t feel bloated but my stomach has always had a pregnant look. But I really do feel better.

Did you see any change in weight through this process?

No

It was very difficult! But once you know what you can and can’t have, it wasn’t so bad.

I’ve had a few slips recently, but yes. It has made me really realised the important of healthy eating.
