Alaa Mohammad

Symptoms: bloating, stomach cramps, nausea, fatigue

Food Reactions: wheat, dairy

“I feel relieved and extremely happy to finally have answers to my symptoms”

30-year-old design quality engineer, Alaa Mohammad, was dealing with a range of unpleasant symptoms for over 5 years. Alaa experienced bloating, stomach cramps, nausea and fatigue on a daily basis.

When asked about how these symptoms affected her life, Alaa said: “The constant feeling of being bloated was extremely uncomfortable, especially when seated in the office. The fatigue prevented me from doing cardio exercises and as a result I was unable to play football. The stomach cramps and nausea had also put me off exercising.”

In a bid to try and get to the root cause of her symptoms Alaa’s friend suggested she try YorkTest. “Initially, I was interested in taking an allergy test as I seemed to have an increased reaction to fruit. When my friend told me about the food intolerance and allergy bundle at YorkTest, I decided to give it a go.”

After taking the Food Sensitivity and Allergy Test Bundle, Alaa’s results indicated that her body was reacting to wheat and dairy.

We asked Alaa how she felt after removing these trigger foods. “I felt instantly better, the bloating disappeared within a few days. I also felt my energy levels going back up after a few weeks. ”

Our test analyses your IgG reactions to 200 food and drinks – from common ingredients like gluten and cow’s milk, to health superfoods like kale and quinoa.

The process involves sending a finger-prick blood sample back to YorkTest, Alaa then received her results within 7-days through the Wellness Hub, in an easy-to-read traffic light-based format.

Eliminating the trigger foods and sticking to her diet plan has helped clear Alaa’s symptoms, “I felt much better after approximately 3 weeks and I gained healthier weight by being able to retain most of the nutrients. “I am able to play football again and I also feel much better performing cardio exercises.”

When asked about her nutritional consultation, Alaa found it “very helpful, I was given tips and ideas that I personally wouldn’t have thought of. It was also very informative.”

On her customer service experience, Alaa commented: “Extremely helpful. They were able to answer my queries.”

When asked how life had changed since taking the test and how she would summarise her experience, Alaa concluded: “I feel relieved and extremely happy to finally have answers to my symptoms. It’s unbelievable that taking one test could change my life forever!”
