As well as consulting for yorktest, I am the nutritional therapist for Breast Cancer Haven in Leeds and also have a private practice.<\/p>\n<p>Attending seminars and courses on a regular basis, in order to maintain a high standard, keeps my finger on the pulse in the ever-dynamic world of nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>I have lectured on the Medicinal Plants and Functional Foods MSc at Newcastle University and teach the Foundation in Plant Medicine course at Dilston Physic Garden, Northumberland. I have used their tests for many years as a practitioner and always found their tests to be reliable and patient friendly. The team at yorktest are also very professional to deal with.<\/p>\n<h2>What are the highlights of your role?<\/h2>\n<p>That\u2019s an easy one. There are so many people I talk to who have had digestive issues for years. They have been back and forth to the GP, had all the tests under the sun and a number of medications as well, but their symptoms have still grumbled on making their lives miserable. Something as simple as a change of diet can often be the crux to their problems. I get a real buzz working with these people who put the effort in to replace certain food groups and feel their symptoms reduce and ultimately disappear.
