Her mother, Jennifer, states that her daughter weighed <strong>6 stone 4 pounds<\/strong> before approaching YorkTest<\/li>\n<li>Jennifer heard about us through a friend of a friend and began to <strong>research<\/strong> the programme and <strong>benefits<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Summer\u2019s food intolerance* test revealed she was intolerant to cow\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorktest.com\/intolerance\/milk\/\">milk<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorktest.com\/intolerance\/gluten\/\">gluten<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorktest.com\/intolerance\/egg\/\">egg white<\/a><\/li>\n<li>After nutritional consultations with one of our registered nutritional therapists, Jennifer began to <strong>explore new foods<\/strong> she could give her daughter<\/li>\n<li>Eight weeks later, summer weighs a healthy <strong>5 stone 3 pounds<\/strong> and feels that her daughter is \u201c<strong>a completely different child<\/strong>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-36603\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorktest.com\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/08\/FotoJet-300x300.png\" alt=\"yorktest client\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/>At seven years old, Summer suffered from a<strong> wide range of symptoms<\/strong> which caused increasing concern for her mother, Jennifer. \u201cSummer had very bad bloating, her mood would change (tantrums), her skin got so dry it would flake from her eyebrows, [and] she got a lot of rashes especially on her face,\u201d Jennifer says.<\/p>\n<p>Summer\u2019s <strong>fluctuating weight<\/strong> was also a cause for concern as she weighed 6 stone 4 pounds. Jennifer explains: \u201ca lot of people would point out her bloating or weight to me and, as a parent, was very hard to hear. She was <strong>bullied at school<\/strong> because of her weight and skin condition \u2013 she was regularly called fat\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t until a friend of a friend recommended YorkTest to Jennifer. It was at this point where she was <strong>at a loss<\/strong> of her daughter\u2019s persistent symptoms. The next step for Jennifer was to eliminate her daughter\u2019s trigger foods.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-36602\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorktest.com\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/08\/FotoJet-3-300x300.png\" alt=\"Summer quinn\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/>\u201cWeek 1 and 2 were very difficult as one minute she was very energetic and the next she was exhausted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did speak to a Nutritional Therapist at YorkTest who helped me hugely, which made heading into week 3 much easier and, using my <strong>imagination with different food<\/strong>, things started falling into place for the better at that stage,\u201d Jennifer continues.<\/p>\n<p>At the eight-week stage, Jennifer has reflected back on her <strong>daughter\u2019s journey<\/strong> with us and has been surprised by Summer\u2019s continually improving results. The 7-year-old\u2019s daily bloating has subsided and her rashes have improved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI now only feed Summer foods that she can tolerate. <strong>She is a completely different child<\/strong>.\u00a0 Her transition once I got my head around things was actually very easy.\u00a0 Summer can now enjoy her favourite foods again with ingredients she is not reacting to and a bit of imagination from myself,\u201d Jennifer explains.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorktest.com\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/08\/FotoJet-2-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Her mum is also pleased that the elimination diet has played a positive part in Summer\u2019s weight.
