COVID-19 IgG antibody test

We need your help to develop a coronavirus antibody test

YorkTest Laboratories is developing a coronavirus COVID-19 antibody test.

We have proactively reached out to both the Government and to the NHS to offer our help in the fight against coronavirus.

In developing our antibody test, we now ask for your help.  We need people who have already been proved positive for coronavirus to very kindly provide a tiny blood sample, using our standard home-to-laboratory finger-prick blood collection process.  This is simple and easy to do.

If you or anyone you know has proved positive for coronavirus (and it is essential that this person has been tested for COVID-19 and had a positive result) and are happy to help, then please complete the form below, email YorkTest at client.support@yorktest.com or call 01904 410 410.

As a thank you, we would like to offer a FREE COVID-19 antibody test (once fully developed and validated) for each person who provides a valid proved positive blood sample.

We want to hear from you!

We are also interested in hearing from people who have been tested for COVID-19 where their swab result was a negative.

All blood samples received in the effort to develop our antibody test and help the fight against the coronavirus will be processed in strictest of confidence and we shall not store or share any personal data as a result of this testing process.  All blood samples are destroyed after testing in line with our Privacy Policy.

YorkTest is in a great position to develop a COVID-19 antibody test as our core business is food-specific IgG antibody testing, with over 20 years of experience in this area.  Our service provision of home-to-laboratory testing is well established with all the equipment, certifications (CE, IVD, ISO) and procedures already in place to be able to deliver a COVID-19 antibody test solution once development is completed.

We’ll let you know through updates on our website and in our newsletter as to our progress with the development of this new coronavirus test.

Many thanks for helping us with the fight against coronavirus.
