We took a trip to ASDA to check out their free from biscuit range. We purchased three timeless "free from" classics:

 

Bourbons -"TruFree Bourbon biscuits £1.24 for a 125g pack
Wheat free and gluten free

Custard Creams - "TruFree Custard Creams £1.14 for a 100g pack
Wheat free and gluten free

Jaffa Cakes - "ASDA's, own brand free from Jaffa Cakes £1.21 for 12
Wheat free and gluten free

We easily managed to find both standard and "Free From"

Scorring a mouth watering 4/5 from our YorkTest tasters the plaudits came in thick and fast with

most reviewers unable to seperate traditional Jaffa cakes from their free from counterparts.

The Trufree Bourbons scored 3/5 but so did their traditional counterparts so top marks to Trufree

for matching the traditional bourbon flavour.

 

But placed firmly at the bottom of the biscuit barrel was Trufree's Custard Creams scoring just 1/5

on taste probably attributable to their powdery and dry consistency. There standard conterpart

however had no such palatable rejection, 4/5 for the traditional custard cream.
