First Step Food Intolerance Test

Suspect you may have food intolerances? Try the First Step food intolerance test
and find out.
Sometimes we cannot pinpoint exactly what is causing that irritating headache
or ongoing bloating feeling after eating. Food intolerance can contribute to a
number of symptoms such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), bloating, tiredness,
migraines, digestive complaints, skin conditions or joint pain. Taking the First
Step food intolerance test is the simple, fast and affordable way to find out
if you have food intolerance.
The First Step food intolerance test can be carried out in the comfort of your
home without the need to go to a clinic or specialist. The First Step food intolerance
test enables you to eliminate uncertainty and confirm whether you have food intolerance
by providing a ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ test result. This way you can check if
you have food intolerance before taking the Second Step FoodScan 113 which is
the comprehensive service that identifies the specific foods you are intolerant
to. If you upgrade to the FoodScan 113, we will even discount £20 off the price
(£245, normally £265).
Once you place an order, your First Step test kit is posted to you which contains
everything you need to take your own blood sample (just 2-3 drops). Once the sample
is collected it is posted to our laboratories for analysis in the prepaid envelope
provided (UK only). Your results are then posted to you within ten working days.
Taking the First Step is easy and affordable – simply click on the ‘Buy Now’

Taking the First Step Food Intolerance Test
Your First Step test kit will contain everything you need to take the test in
four easy steps:
Fill in the enclosed customer details form and write your name and date clearly
on the side of the wand container with the pen provided.
Hold the plastic wand by the plastic cover against the blood droplet and allow
it to be soaked up. Once the wand is completely red it will mean there is enough
blood to test.
Place the lancet on the side of your finger or thumb and press down quickly.
Massage the finger until there is a large droplet of blood.
Immediately place the full wand inside the container. Place this and the used
lancet in the prepaid envelope provided and return to us.
Important Information
Do not take this test if you are:
- Suffering from a blood borne disease such as Hepatitis or HIV
- Under 2 years old
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Taking steroids or immunosuppressants
Please note: Raised levels of food-specific IgG antibodies within your blood
indicate that a reaction to a particular food or foods has occurred. If you have
already taken the decision to eliminate a particular food or foods from your diet
they may not show up as a reaction on your results. If you know of foods that
trigger your symptoms then do not start eating them just to confirm this through
taking the test. We cannot encourage you to eat a food or foods which you already
know are a problem to you. The Second Step FoodScan 113 can help you identify
other foods to which you may have a reaction whilst you continue to eliminate
those foods from your diet that you know contribute to your symptoms.
