Do you suffer from asthma, sinusitis, runny nose, frequent colds and infections or chronic congestion of the sinuses, ears and / or the nose? Sinusitis and asthma can seriously limit the ability to catch your breath, can cause pain, headaches and leave you feeling run down.
Nasal steroid sprays can reduce congestion and swelling, antibiotics can treat bacterial infection whilst other drugs may reduce the risk of attacks, and stop pain and discomfort. However, medicines can cause side effects, and sometimes do not tackle the root cause. In one UK survey, over two-thirds of asthma sufferers thought that various foods exacerbated their asthma. But when such cases are assessed, standard allergy tests are usually negative. So it is not only factors such as pollen or house dust that are the triggers and other reactions to foods may explain some of these cases.
N.B. Information about the potential symptoms of food intolerance is provided here to inform those seeking advice from Nutritional Therapists, Health Practitioners or Medical Professionals. The presence of this information should not in any way be misconstrued to imply that YorkTest Programmes have been proven to be efficacious in treating these symptoms.
A survey, commissioned by Allergy UK was carried out with 5286 people reporting a wide range of chronic medical conditions, who had taken the YorkTest – or to give it its scientific name - a food-specific IgG enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay (ELISA) blood test.
